Cookies
Which cookies and which browser data mador.ai uses, what they are for and how long they last. The site uses technical cookies and, only with your consent, marketing cookies.
1. What they are
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser to remember something between pages. Browsers also have similar storage, such as localStorage. This page lists all of them together.
Technical cookies make the site work, or make a service you asked for work, so the law does not require consent for them. Other cookies (analytics, advertising, tracking) can only be used after an explicit yes.
3. Data saved in the browser
| Name | What it does | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| mador-chat:{project} | The conversation with the client area assistant, one per project (the last 60 messages). It stays in your browser only. | Until you delete it or clear the browser | Technical, functional |
| mador-chat-sito | The conversation with the site assistant (the last 40 messages) and a random conversation code. | Until you delete it or clear the browser | Technical, functional |
| mador-invito-chat-chiuso | Remembers that you closed the chat prompt, so it is not shown again. | Until you clear the browser | Technical, preference |

|---|---|---|---|---|
| mador_ref | Remembers the Mador partner link you came from, so the partner gets the commission if you subscribe. It only holds the partner's code. Without your consent it is not saved: the code only counts for the visit. | 60 days | Marketing, first-party | Active |
| _fbp (Meta pixel) | Recognises this browser from one visit to the next, to link visits to Mador's ads on Facebook and Instagram. Written by Meta's script. | 90 days | Marketing, third-party (Meta) | Active |
| _fbc (Meta pixel) | Remembers the click on a Mador ad, when that is how you arrived. Written by Meta's script. | 90 days | Marketing, third-party (Meta) | Active |

The Meta pixel. Meta's script only loads after your yes: before that, the page does not contain it. With your yes, Meta receives the pages you open on mador.ai and four specific moments: when you start a free scan, when you leave your email after the scan, when you activate Monitor or Growth (with the price, €59 or €249 a month) and when you move from Monitor to Growth. Mador's server also sends these four moments to Meta (Conversions API), with your email (when there is one) turned into an encrypted fingerprint (SHA-256) and never in plain text, your IP address, your browser and the two cookies above. It shows Mador how many of the people who come from the ads start a scan, leave their email or subscribe.
If you reject it, the script does not load and the server sends nothing to Meta. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads without the script, _fbp and _fbc are deleted and from then on the server sends nothing more. What Meta has already received is handled by Meta, under its own policy: www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
5. Third-party services
- Stripe. Payment happens on Stripe's page, not on mador.ai. There Stripe uses its own cookies, for security and fraud prevention, under its own policy: stripe.com/cookie-settings
- Maps. In the client area, and in the showcase after a click, the map loads its images from CARTO or OpenStreetMap. These services receive the browser's IP address, as with any downloaded image. The site does not ask them to set cookies.
- Fonts. They are served by mador.ai: the browser does not contact Google Fonts.
The site does not use Google Analytics, third-party analytics tools or tracking social buttons. The only advertising tool is the Meta pixel in section 4, and only with your consent.
6. Consent
Technical cookies need no consent. For marketing cookies the banner offers «Accept», «Reject» and «Choose»: until you choose they stay off. Your choice lasts 6 months, then the banner comes back.
You can change your choice at any time, with the button below or with «Change your cookie choice» at the bottom of every page.
7. How to remove them
You can delete cookies and saved data from your browser settings, for all sites or just for mador.ai. The official guides:
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox
- Safari: support.apple.com/guide/safari/sfri11471
- Edge: support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09
If you block technical cookies, parts of the site stop working: signing in to the client area, coming back after payment, a report you already opened.
8. Questions
For any question write to support@mador.ai. How Mador handles personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
