The same chain, city by city: from 14 answers out of 20 to just one

The first row covers every chain in the 12 reports. The other three show two chains that show up everywhere, but not in the same way.

Source Mador's 12 category reports in Italy, Spain, France and Germany: for each chain, how many answers recommend it in each city. A chain counts in a city if at least one answer recommends it and none advises against it. Single businesses are not named here.

On 3 November 2026 Mador asked four AI assistants which dentist to choose in 50 Italian cities. Bludental was recommended in 31 of them. In Terni it came up in 14 answers out of 20; in Florence, Turin and Venice in 1 out of 20. Same brand, same questions, same day.

The national count says in how many cities the chain shows up. City by city it says how often: the same brand goes from 14 answers out of 20 in one city to 1 out of 20 in another.

It happens to almost every chain

Across Mador's 12 reports in Italy, Spain, France and Germany, a chain is recommended in 1,223 pairs of chain and city. In 385 of them it shows up in a single answer. Almost one time in three, then, a network's number in a city is 1.

In October Tecnocasa was recommended in 48 Italian cities: in 13 just once, in Reggio Calabria in 10 answers out of 20. In France Orpi shows up in all 20 cities measured, but ranges from 17 answers out of 20 in Le Havre to 4 in Paris.

When a chain does not count

In 92 cases a chain is named in a city but does not count there, because no answer recommends it or because one advises against it. The reports only count the answers that recommend.

What the benchmark sees

Category reports look at the city, not the address: two branches in the same city count as one. For a chain that wants to know how each branch is doing there is Mador Benchmark. It asks the questions of each branch's area, in its languages, to 14 assistants, and for every branch it shows who gets recommended in its place, which sites the AI reads and what to do. Then Mador does the work branch by branch and measures again, so the following month shows how each branch has changed.

What it means if you have several locations

A network that only looks at the national figure sees an average that exists in no city. In Terni and in Florence the same brand has two different numbers, 14 and 1 out of 20, and each city needs to be looked at on its own.

What cannot be said

These are up to 20 answers per city and a single collection, with four assistants. The cities are the ones chosen for each report, not the ones where the chain has branches: a chain that does not show up in a city may also have no branch there.

Between October and November 2026, in four countries, the same brand had different numbers from one city to the next, with the same questions and the same assistants.

The data, page by page

Method

  • 20 answers per city (19 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna and Köln, for real estate agencies): 5 questions in the local language to 4 assistants.
  • Dentists in Italy collected on 3 November 2026, France and Germany on 3 and 4 November, Italian agencies between 18 and 21 October, Spain from 30 September.
  • ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, with the same questions for all four.
