The first three rows show how much the Index has grown. The last two are differences you only see with more categories and more countries.

Source 5,999 answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity in the six category reports of the Mador Index: real estate agencies, dentists and aesthetic clinics in 50 cities in Italy and 50 in Spain. Chains are named by brand; single businesses only in the reports, when the answers recommend them.

In October the Mador Index was a single report: real estate agencies in 50 Italian cities, with 665 answers out of 1,000 naming at least one agency. In November there are 6 reports. Dentists and aesthetic clinics in Italy were added, and the same three categories in 50 cities in Spain. Answers went from 1,000 to 5,999.

More categories, more countries

With one report the Index could say how one category was doing. With six it starts to show where one category behaves differently from another, and one country from another.

Aesthetic clinics are the clearest case. In Spain 377 answers out of 1,000 name a chain, and Dorsia is recommended in 42 cities out of 50. In Italy, with the same questions written in Italian, answers with a chain come to 136. The same trade is searched for in two ways: in Spain the AI thinks of a brand, in Italy of a local practice.

The assistants do not answer alike

For Italian aesthetic clinics Claude named a business in 15 answers out of 250. Perplexity did in 250 out of 250. In October, for real estate agencies, Claude was at 45 out of 250. Watching a single assistant shows part of the picture, and sometimes the smallest part.

What changed in the rules

Since 4 November the reports follow one naming rule, the same one the Index uses. A chain counts in a city only if at least one answer recommends it and none advises against it. A single business appears only if the answers actually recommend it, not when it is merely mentioned. A person's name never appears, and the order counts recommending answers first and mentions after. The October report was redone with the same rule, so all six read the same way.

What it means if you run a business

Each report shows, city by city, who gets recommended in your place and how often the AI names nobody. For a dentist in Italy, with 708 answers out of 1,000 giving at least one name, the question is not whether the AI answers but whom it names. That is the work Mador does for the businesses that use it: understanding why others get picked, writing and publishing what is missing, and measuring again.

What cannot be said

No category is measured in both months in the same country, so November cannot yet say whether a category is going up or down: the month on month comparison comes when the same category is measured again. Spanish agencies have 775 answers out of 999 with a name, but they should not be compared with the Italian ones from October as if they were the same month.

On 3 November 2026 the Mador Index covered three trades in two countries, and it already showed that the same question finds different answers depending on the country and the assistant.

The data, page by page

Method

  • 5 questions per city, in the country's language, to 4 assistants: 1,000 answers per report, 999 for Spanish agencies.
  • November answers collected on 2 and 3 November 2026, except one from 30 September; October answers between 18 and 21 October.
  • ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, with the same questions for all four.
